Before beginning with our inspirational secret success stories that every individual out there should read, here’s some food for thought!

Most people believe that there are only two outcomes, either failure or success. But all of us fail to understand that success and failures fall on the same road.

Success is the final destination you reach after traveling a long way, while failures are landmarks that you come across while traveling towards success.

So, how is possible to succeed without meeting a bunch of “failure” landmarks that lie on your way! In fact, one should think of failures as a milestone that showcases you’re getting a mile closer to success every time you encounter a failure.

5 Secret Success Stories: The Road from Failure to Success

1. Failure to Success Story of Vincent van Gogh

One of the most renowned artists worldwide, Vincent van Gogh, wasn’t born as the ultimate post-impressionism legend. In fact, he would never know that his par excellence work gained such huge momentum that his art is now being taught in schools, colleges, and universities.

Vincent van Gogh lived a very tough life. While he was alive, he suffered mental illness, relationship troubles, and had to make a harsh decision to end his own life.

So, the moral here is to stay strong throughout your journey to success, the road may be thorny and long but you’re destined to succeed. Hold in there for long enough to see the morning sunshine on you.

“Success is sometimes the outcome of a whole string of failures.”
— Vincent van Gogh

2. Secret Success Story of Stephen King

A world-class renowned author, Stephen King, was a paranoid child who spent his childhood fighting his real-world nightmares. He began to write fictional horrors because he wanted to run away from the actual ones. So, writing evolved as a coping mechanism against his fears but eventually turned him into the Stephen King that we know of today.

His drugs and alcohol addiction, rejections, and parenthood troubles couldn’t keep him away from success because he showed resilience and stood up on his feet, never to be bent down again!

“Talent is cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.”
— Stephen King

3. Failure to Success Story of Walt Disney

Walt Disney, the inventor of Mickey Mouse, dropped out of school at a young age after failing to join the army. Due to his inability to operate a profitable business, one of his early-days endeavors, Laugh-o-Gram Studios, went bankrupt. He was reportedly dismissed from a Missouri newspaper for failing to be creative enough.

Success didn’t come overnight to him, in fact, he didn’t see the most of it, but here we’re today. Who is a failure now!

Nonetheless, the Disney studios’ founder’s ingenuity is responsible for generations of childhood memories and fantasies. Disney will continue to thrill the world for light years to come.

One of his sayings reads as follows:

“We don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

The key is to keep progressing towards your goal with utmost curiosity no matter how many hardships you encounter, you’re bound to make your own failure to success story one day.

4. Secret Success Story of Michael Jordan

Regarded by many as the ultimate basketball prowess, Michael Jordan wasn’t even a close match for a basketball champion when he started. His coaches always had a hard time overlooking the fact that Michael Jordan didn’t reach the minimum height required to become a professional basketball player.

Through his years of hard work, failures, practice, and determination, we got to witness the star that he is today. His rock-solid motivation to keep going no matter what did wonder for him. This recipe can also work for you, me, or anyone out there willing to risk it all.

His golden words read as stated:

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

5. Failure to Success Story of J.K. Rowling

J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, spoke about the importance and value of failure during a commencement speech at Harvard. Why? It’s because she, too, was once a failure. Her worst worries came true just a few years after she graduated from college.

Here’s what she had to say:

“I had failed on an epic scale. An exceptionally short-lived marriage had imploded, and I was jobless, a lone parent, and as poor as it is possible to be in modern Britain, without being homeless. The fears that my parents had for me, and that I had for myself, had both come to pass, and by every usual standard, I was the biggest failure I knew.”

If she can stay strong and determined towards achieving success in life, despite going through hardships, what’s stopping you!
